Mission Statement & Purpose

***Our purpose for the Safe Haven Support Group is to help resolve our emotional needs, give encouragement, and let us ALL know we are free to be over-comers through conquering daily obstacles by attending Counseling sessions, self-help seminars, and media resources.

​Goals

  • Provide motivational speakers in various areas to empower & encourage
  • Offer small group sessions with leaders in the Houston metropolitan areas
  • Provide cultural arts programming for spiritual enrichment and personal development
  • Support groups for mothers that have children incarcerated and involved in gang affiliations

Education

We seek to enhance educational opportunities and skill training to those in need of GED training, analytical/critical thinking skills, standardized testing, and job/career placement.

Our goals are to:
  • Provide etiquette classes for individuals
  • Provide educational instruction for dressing for success
  • Provide educational agencies assistance for GED, ACT/SAT prep, etc.
  • Provide job search assistance through various agencies and programs
  • Provide financial educational seminars
  • Health and Wellness Seminars

Vocational Training

 We further aim to provide training that emphasizes skills and knowledge required for vocational trades and jobs that clients may be seeking to acquire, including medical, business, and military resources.

We desire to:
  • Partner with community colleges and technical schools to offer courses 
  • Provide cooperative training techniques in preparing clients
